The Global MGTOW Tendency

This just in:

"Sou meio pessimista quanto ao alcance desse "way of life", acho que a manginisse sempre prevalecerá. Entretanto, até bem pouco tempo atrás, sequer poderíamos imaginar que mesmo uns poucos homens tomariam esse caminho. De modo que existe a chance de, no futuro, uma parcela significativa de homens abraçarem a liberdade, o que seria fatal para as mulheres.

My knowledge of French and Spanish gives me a linguistic base from which I can decipher Portugese fairly easily. I'm lucky.

"manginisse"

heh heh.

Spain actually has a tradition of strong men, masculinity, and a style of courtship between which could hardly be approved by the foolish pc standards...

Maybe the whole feminist thing will fall apart when enough people finally just say, "oh what a load of bullshit," publicly, aloud.

I'd like to get your opinion on this: all over the world (excluding the US) we're seeing feminism on the defensive. And not just feminism, we're also seeing human progress made on other fronts.

On another blog, we were discussing the recent study on adult literacy in the US. To summarize, the American people don't have the intellect, IMO, to turn things around. If this study is accurate, only about 1/7 of Americans even have the educational ability to read and understand your blog, whether they agree with it or not.

In other words, I'm really beginning to see the US as a nation without a future. What do you think?

@Eric: Oh, I do believe the USA has a future. Whether that will be an enjoyable future, is a separate question.

That said, I am having difficulty understanding what you are saying in your first paragraph above. Feminism on the defensive, and human progress on other fronts? Can you clarify?

Other countries are not only turning back the tide of feminism, they are also making great social, economic, and technological strides while the US is becoming less free, more economically stagnated, and our educational system is abysmal.

Where I was going with my question: do you think it might be time for American men to start seriously considering exit strategies?

@Eric:

I am not sure what you mean by 'exit strategies'.

By exit strategies, I'm talking about whether or not the 'Manosphere' needs to have a serious dialogue on whether or not the USA any longer represents a viable culture for men; and if not, should we be discussing abandoning the country?

@Eric: I would not recommend abandoning the country, but sticking around and "making lemonade from lemons".

Think of it as life on the frontier -- a new, challenging kind of life under adverse conditions . . . but do-able.

I'm sure that if our civilization does not start treating men better, there will be sad consequences. And that is when men who are smart enough will find a way to "clean up".

The deck is getting reshuffled, and we are likely to be dealt strong hand, if only we have to wit to recognize it.

Did I "mix" all those metaphors, or did I just line them up in a tight row? ;)

You lined them up in a tight row.

I've been very much of the same opinion that men who use their minds can survive here. But this NAAL study seems to indicate that the numbers of such men are smaller than many believed.

I don't think I'll expat just yet...thanks for the opinion!
