A Non-MRM Perspective on White Knights and "Manginas"

I have stumbled upon a Rel-con (religious conservative blog) called "Society of Phineas", on which is posted a thoughtfully researched social analysis of the white knight and mangina phenomenon. I think you will find it worthy of your reading time:

The article is especially interesting given that it draws upon yours truly as a source! ;-)

I left this comment.....This is way out left field. Feminism is 'women's control of the world'. Men have ruled for 1000's of years and women want their turn. Men that support women who are battered in relationships or raped are not manginas or white knights,..... they are male kids who love their mothers and sisters, They are grown men adults who want decent treatment for all..... I couldn't read past the second paragraph, for you need to listen to what men's rights is about..... it;'s about equality, not men taking over or women taking over.

Thanks for accepting my anonymous comment. I am struggling to sign in another way.

The funny thing is that I am female and you'd think men's rights would be something men work out for themselves... yet it is and it isn't.

For starters, I don't work out anyone's rights.... I just watch it all come together.

.............

The reason rights for male and female is being centred around the female is because of past men (older men) who insisted women should be in the home looking after her man and their children.

It was a stupid tactic for you never tell people what to do. Everyone with a brain knows they will counter you. And of course, a lot of women did and many men supported this, because they didn't need force to have wives and children.

..........

The way men's rights work is that men who are trusted are being asked to put forward men's rights. These men are like Warren Farell who is very expensive because he made a career out of gender stuff as has many feminists.

These men who have status and are trusted to see women's rights as legit are the ones who will bring feminism into equality.

Thing is (sorry to sound like I am telling), the religious nuts who insist women serve men and gay men should be killed are losing their ground and they hate it.

I knew years ago that men's rights was going to be difficult for men because it isn't just about rights but about ideologies. Men's rights suffer from both sides - they have religious nuts wanting to own their rights and they have damaged men called manginas that profit big time as feminist supporters wanting to own them. Then there's cultures and politicians and more that want to profit from men's rights, ect. But that's another story.

Only the middle ground will work.

I'm not the first to voice it, it's "in the water", since... does anybody know when, that is, the growing suspicion that the status of women in politics and power etc. has been limited not only because of the natural roles that have evolved (just as in many animal species, i.e., it's not "constructed"), and not only because men are bigger or physically more powerful... it's because of women's tendency to grasp for control... they're used to having a cap on their power, but when they are able to get past any of the checks and balances, they go nuts, they want as much as they can get. What I'm really saying is that "feminism" in some sense has happened before, and that is part of the reason why their role in politics and power has not always been welcome. Historically, they have made a path already, and a bad rep. And they're working hard to do it again, they want to open pandora's box, and let themselves out. And I think, along with it, may come trotting 'actual' misogyny. By constantly working the misogyny straw man before the fact, they beat us to the punch and demonize what is merely a logical consequence of their behavior.

With due respect Anonymous, that we all fear the unknown, I can't help but see your comment as fictitious.

I am not surprised by your comment for I hear it every time society makes a step forward yet its often about other interest groups. The sky is falling always, lol and lots of people go into panic mode.

Besides, women already have power. It's a done deal and that's that. Nothing ended, nothing new started.

However, like all social moves, it goes extreme until something balances it and that's what the men's movement will do.

There are more women who call themselves feminists supporting men stepping up that there are feminists trying to stop it. Like all movements, only the extreme give a movement their whole life and breathe and thus only the extreme cared to be childless/childfree (what ever you want to call a woman who puts motherhood aside for a movement/cause).

The only problem is most of the feminists supporting the MRM are of the precious past waves of feminism and thus older women who feel they've done their time to the movement/cause.

...........

Your greatest nightmares are not going to be the norm of society because women have equal power in all sorts of things men once dominated. Gosh, some women contribute wonderfully to society as a whole and their husbands and children and they (women) have heaps of power.

I can't help but perceive your syntax as amply diluted with alcohol and magical thinking. Shall I affect as though it's somehow deep or intellectual? I think you're drunk.

All right, so now let's hear your take on the non-feminist revolution as a whole.

I notice that you did not mention that.

Just for the record, "the sky is falling", that's YOUR LINE, feminist. The sky is falling, therefore everybody get in line with you and your victim status. What's that, you've twisted your ankle too? How unfortunate, I was already on my way down to the fishing hole and really can't be delayed.
